It has been a winning week for the McNeil brothers who ride racing thoroughbreds across Victoria.
Logan McNeil had a second place in Bendigo on April 6 aboard four-year-old gelding ‘Dimaggio’ over 1000 metres, and in Kilmore on April 8, a second place on four-year-old mare ‘Paoas’ over 1200m and a first place on three-year-old filly ‘Sacred Legacy’ over 1200 metres. At Benalla on April 9, he had a third place on five-year-old gelding ‘Think More’ over 2046 metres; a second place on four-year-old gelding ‘Redollix’ over 1206 metres; a race win on five-year-old gelding ‘Port Royal’ over 1606 metres, and a win on three-year-old gelding ‘Cuffe’s Grange’ over 1406 metres.
Jye McNeil was also at Bendigo on April 6 and placed third on three-year-old gelding ‘Blood Sweat Tears’ over 1300 metres. He had a couple of first places at Sale on April 7 on three-year-old filly ‘Arroance’ over 1105 metres and five-year-old gelding ‘Green Ivy’ over 2219 metres. At Pakenham on April 8, he had a third place on three-year-old gelding ‘Foturi’ over 1200 metres, and a fourth aboard three-year-old gelding ‘Abreed’ over 1600 metres; a fourth at Cranbourne on April 9 aboard three-year-old filly ‘Euphoric Summer’ over 1000 metres, a second on three-year-old filly ‘Hereforagoodtime’ over 2015 metres and a first place on four-year-old mare ‘Angle Rock’ over 1600 metres. At Caulfield on April 10, two third placings, one aboard four-year-old gelding ‘Hi Stranger’ over 1600 metres and four-year-old gelding ‘Superium’ over 1100 metres, three second places, one aboard three-year-old filly ‘Mozzie Monster’ over 1400 metres, another on five-year-old mare ‘Fabric’ over 1200 metres, and a five-year-old gelding ‘Grand Promenade’ over 2000 metres. And lastly, two first places, one aboard three-year-old gelding ‘Liqueuro’ over 2400 metres and another with two-year-old gelding ‘Hunnam’ over 1200 metres.
