Two nail biters this week and we came out on top in both. Div 1 went to Leitchville for what is always a danger game and it didn’t disappoint. For some reason it seems we like to do things the hard way as we only hit the front over the last two ends. On a positive note, hopefully this resilience will be an advantage come finals time. Guy’s team got off to a solid start and maintained a small lead for most of the match. We kicked away over the last few ends for a good 23/12 win. Mainy’s rink got the jump on the opposition again this week, but also again, they went to sleep in the middle stages. This time though, they fought back picking up some crucial shots at the end to get a hard fought 24/20 win. Regan’s side had a much tougher day at the office. They struggled their way through and at one point found themselves 19 shots down with 5 ends to go. They didn’t throw the towel in though, and picked up a very important 9 shots over the last few ends to go down 16/27. This gave us a 4 shot win overall and kept us in second spot on the ladder. This week we play Barham 3 and we need one more win to secure 2nd spot and the double chance in the finals.
Div 3 headed to Barham to play on the carpet and scraped in as well. Stephe
