McNeil Melbourne Move “Marvellous”

Apprentice jockey, Logan McNeil, is currently riding in Melbourne for trainer Grahame Begg who has 11 group one wins. McNeil is on a three-month loan from Mansfield-based trainer, Gerald Egan, and is following a similar path to his older brother, Jye, allowing Logan to ride for more trainers.
It has been a great learning year for Logan, and the 21-year-old has taken the good with the bad. From a ten-meeting careless riding suspension in February (5-20), Logan notched his 93rd win on Monday, June 13, aboard seven-year-old gelding ‘Elite Legacy’ who won on a Mornington heavy 10 track over 1,000 metres, trained by Tony Noonan, who has 1,037 career wins.
Logan has had another win this month aboard four-year-old gelding ‘Trust But Verify’ at Casterton over 2,000 metres in a soft seven condition for budding trainer Tammy Birnie with four career wins.
