In April 2022, the Wakool Soldier Settlers Memorial Walk Action Group received grant funding of $6,805 from the Australian Government under the Stronger Communities Programme Round 7. This funding assisted with developing 11 interpretive signs for the Wakool ‘Walk of Remembrance’, including Wakool Scouts, Wakool Guides and Brownies, Wakool Hotel, Wakool Hall, Wakool Burraboi Primary School, Wakool Primary School, Soldier Settlers – Raymond Hands and Henry Tully, Rupert Canning and Frederick Collins, William Nichol, Ross and June Murdoch, Allan Martin and Lindsay Williams. 

A large interpretive sign was also completed on the Chowar and Merriginnie
