Vintage Rally motors into Koondrook

“What are these things?” and “Where did they come from” was the call around town on Thursday as residents saw the strangest of motorcars. In fact it was the 2025 RACV One and Two Cylinder Rally that took over the streets of Koondrook and Barham from Thursday to Sunday. Thursday started with an historic tour of the Arbuthnot Sawmills red gum timber mill, which has been active since 1889. The rally featured a 20-kilometre driving schedule on Thursday, followed by 100 kilometres on Friday that headed to Cohuna and on to Gunbower before returning to an evening event held at cluBarham’s Golf Resort. Saturday, the intrepid adventurers headed to Caldwell and then on to Wakool for a gathering in the town’s park. Sunday saw another 20 kilometres for the humble cars and the local flat terrain was well suited for one—and two-cylinder vehicles.
