The members of the Cohuna Cemetery Trust spent Sunday morning planting trees in the newest development of the cemetery.
Fifty trees, a mix of platypus gums and gold dust wattles were planted along the boundary fence of the cemetery to provide screening. The 5ha site is in its infancy and the trust is in the process of applying for grants to cover costs of lasering, roads, drainage, irrigation and fencing.
Community members are invited to assist trust members at a working bee to deadhead roses at the cemetery on Friday, December 9. Bring secateurs, a hat and water.
The Cohuna Cemetery Trust manages and maintains the cemetery and welcomes new members. Contact Nathan McGann or any trust member for more information.
