The 6-foot 4-inch tall (193cm) former Sydney Rooster Rugby player, Peter Gibbs, originating from the remote town of Weilmoringle in far western NSW, stood before several hundred people in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra this past November 28, 2022. The audience included the Governor-General, David Hurley; Treasurer of Australia, Dr Jim Chalmers MP; Leader of the Opposition, Peter Dutton MP, and other MPs and dignitaries. The occasion was the annual National Prayer breakfast where Peter Gibbs was the guest speaker.
