The Light that Rules the Night

I find it fascinating to look up on a cloudless night and see a vast array of stars spread across the sky. Some astronomers estimate that there are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on planet earth! Recently (November 8), many thousands of us around Australia were looking skywards, not so much to look at the stars, but to look towards the moon as a lunar eclipse was taking place. The next lunar eclipse is not until 2025, three years away, so we seized the opportunity to view this special event taking place in the sky above us.
