We visited Echuca very recently and Peter, a local resident, mentioned that the Samaritan’s Purse volunteer helpers were in town cleaning up flood damaged homes by pulling damaged plaster off the walls and removing all the nails from the timber frame, but then ‘going the second mile’, they sprayed the exposed timber frame with mould inhibitor, protecting both timber and inhabitants. They were assisting residents in many other ways, too.
