The Bridge Builder

I well remember driving over one of the biggest and most impressive cable suspension bridges in the world stretching over the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh, Scotland. Our eldest son and I had hired a small diesel car for touring around Scotland before attending a conference in south East England.  The wind was gusting up to 140km per hour as we came in view of the Forth bridge and speed restrictions were in place on the bridge. I remember the wind was howling through the stretched cables, but the bridge stood firm as we crossed the water so far below.
