As the mother of two (thankfully) healthy boys, seeing them in pain of any kind can really pull at the heartstrings. Whenever they have fallen, and there have been plenty of those moments, I have been there with a reassuring hug and a Band-Aid, and I will continue to be there whenever they are hurt. Aside from a terrifying experience where we nearly lost one to illness as a newborn, we (knock on wood) have never had to endure ongoing illness or disease with either of them and I hope that continues.
