Most people would never have considered that it was possible for them to create a lamp shade that is 100% original and individually stylised to suit their choice of décor or intricately customised for that unique special gift. Recently, that is exactly what eight residents were able to do during a four-hour lamp shade making workshop at Caldwell, with professional tuition from a Tasmanian artist, Annie Giffard. Local workshop participants enjoyed delicious refreshments, whilst they created their beautiful lamps for their grandchildren, bedrooms and studies.
