The smell of leather and silver polish with the sound of horse hoofs filled the air at the Barham Pony Club on Monday as they hosted round one of the Bright Future Series, where over 30 riders competed.
The series is designed as an encouragement series, focused on ungraded riders and grade four, five and six riders, and held under Pony Club Victoria rules. Riders dressed in club colours or dress jackets for dressage and show jumping. Horses were on display with manes plaited, saddles polished and hoofs shined.
The next round will be held on May 13 at Barham Pony Club.
