BARHAM

About 1.10pm Wednesday 01/01/2025 an 18-year-old man was stopped on the Moulamein Road, Barham.  The man was subjected to a roadside drug test with the sample sent away for analysis.  The sample result was subsequently returned from analysis and has been issued a penalty notice for Drive Motor Vehicle with illicit drug present in oral fluid.  First offence. 

About 7.40pm Thursday 20/02/2025 a 40-year-old man was stopped in Barham.  The man was searched and it is alleged that police located drug paraphernalia as well as stolen property in his possession. The male was also in possession of house breaking implements. These items were seized, and the man will appear in Court in April for the offences of Good in Custody, Receiving, Possession of Equipment to Administer a prohibited drug and Not wear bicycle helmet.

About 3.30pm Thursday 20/02/2025 police executed a search warrant at a rural property in Cunninyeuk and located 67 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment for the cultivation. Also located were a number of firearms.  Police inquiries into the matter are continuing. On Thursday 20/02/2025 Coffee with a COP was held at the Riverside Café in Barham.  Police had a great morning with many people to chat with about policing and life in Barham.  Police thank the community and the venue for hosting our event. A log of conversations, coffee and the scones were a great hit.  We look forward to seeing everyone again for another Coffee with a COP later in the year.

GANNAWARRA

Theft from motor vehicle: Between 2 and 3pm on Thursday the 27th of February the victim left their car parked in Scoresby Street Kerang. During that time, it is reported that a black passport wallet containing cash was stolen from a red holden sedan.

Trailer theft: Between 3pm Wednesday the 26th of February and 7am the following day, a grey box trailer has been stolen from a building site in Shadforth Street Kerang.

Attempted burglary: At about 2am on Wednesday the 26th of February the victim was woken by the sound of someone trying to open the front security door of their home in Olsen Road Koondrook. Entry was not gained
