On this day – September 8, 1954 (70 years ago), the Construction (The Master Builders’ Weekly) (page 11) reported that: “Cohuna Shire proposes to borrow £10,000 for the purchase of seats for the Memorial Hall at Cohuna, and the erection of two dwellings for officers (including land, footpaths and garages).”
