Three years ago, Meika Gordon was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma – a tumour that grows in muscles in the head, neck, eye, back of the throat or cheek or ear; usually occurring in children between the ages of one and five years. Ever since her diagnosis in December 2019, she has endured nine bouts of chemotherapy, 35 radiation treatments, had one ovary removed, and has had the tumour removed from her left eye.
By late 2020, things were looking up for this bubbly (now) 12-year-old. She
