Four years ago, former Koondrook resident Sophie Brown was browsing Gum Tree on her phone when she found an advertisement for a breeder selling an Indian Ring Neck Parrot. Familiar with the breed due to her partner having a male and female pair, Sophie purchased the bird and called him Larry. Named after the Boston Celtics player, Larry Bird, ‘Larry’ fitted in perfectly at home in Koondrook and soon developed his own personality.
