Celebrating Australia Day with Acts of Kindness…

“It was a plate of freshly baked scones with jam and cream that really hooked me”, said Leigh who was a volunteer firefighter with the Country Fire Authority. Bushfires cause so much loss and grief  but thankfully in their midst there are sometimes wonderful “acts of kindness” performed like the day when two children came running up to a firetruck and delivered a plate of  “scones, jam and cream”. Leigh was one of the recipients and he said in response, “Forty-five years of service in the CFA paid for by one plate of  kindness. I’d call that a fair swap”.  A wonderful act of kindness which gave so much encouragement to these fire fighting volunteers  who themselves are serving others with “acts of kindness”.
