There were 16 members attending the RSL meeting on Sunday, June 27, even with the new COVID-19 restrictions of now wearing a mask inside the Club. The Edinburgh Shield Bowls will be hosted once again in Barham in 2022 at the new bowling green at the rear of the Barham & District Services Memorial Club. The bronze plaque (see photo) that was donated prior to last meeting was presented to the members at the June meeting. The decision now is where to display it, and how. Members will be considering this over the next month or so. The playing of the ODE at the Club seems to be of concern to RSL members, veterans and visitors to the Club. Two new affiliate members were accepted into the Barham RSL. The president, Greg Hall, presented Christine Pearson of Barham with her badge and membership card. The vice president, Steven Tanner, presented Kate Hahn of Koondrook with her badge and membership card (see photo). Christine has been attending the meetings for over 12 months but due to COVID-19 and meetings not being held in 2020, her membership was delayed somewhat. Next meeting is the last Sunday in July.
