Michael and Daniel, two of Barham’s ambulance officers, attended the LHAC meeting this week to demonstrate to members and hospital staff the Lucas Machine. The machine is a mechanical CPR device that gives uninterrupted CPR to a patient who requires continual CPR after the initial 10-minute manual CPR. Local ambulance officers are currently sharing this device between cars when the need should arise. The piece of equipment is a great asset for our community, keeping us up to date with our city counterparts.
