Leitchville Lions Club recognised one of its members with a special award at its changeover dinner held on June 1.
Alan Dunne was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in recognition of his 46 years of service. Alan was a charter member of the club, has been president twice and held many roles and responsibilities during that time.
The Leitchville Lions Club function, held at the Leitchville Hotel, marked the club’s 46th Charter anniversary.
Julie Triffle will head the club as president for her third term; Graham Thompson continues as secretary; and Roma Dye as treasurer.
A new member was welcomed to the club, bringing the total to 12.
