Musicians amaze at fun-filled River Daze

The tickets sold out in record time for this year’s River Daze. Such was the demand that online posts trying to source tickets were regularly witnessed by social media users.

Word is spreading about the gem of an event that the River Daze Committee put together!

“What a great event! The atmosphere is so fun-loving and relaxed,” said a visitor from Melbourne, Susan.

This year saw an impressive line up of acts with Diesel, Thirsty Merc, Reece Mastin, Aaron Schembri Band N Miss Rosie, Jason Wall, and Daniel Aaron. Such an eclectic mix of good-time grooves and party starter, the crowds were up and dancing or kicking back soaking in the melodic beats.

The kids had a great time too, from face painting to Get Your Groove On Kids Show culminating with Show and Bubble Adventure!

I have never seen so many kids going completely crazy for these huge bubble creations made by the beautiful princess, complete with crown.

The quality of food and drinks on offer get better and better each year. Taste buds could be tempted with everything from slow-cooked smoky pork, tantalising Indian cuisine, vegan delights, organic treats and even a Barham Koondrook Lion’s BBQ. Someone spotted me waiting for a vegan feed and as a proud meat-consuming individual, informed them that the intrigue of KFC style deep-fried cauliflower had intrigued me and to be completely honest a battered deep-fried anything tastes pretty good!

The evening rolled on and as the sun went down over the horizon the stark temperature difference between last years 40 odd degrees and this year’s chilly 16 degrees!

Considerably lower than the 28-degree average minus the climate headline.
