Of the eighty or so people I have interviewed for our regular ‘chat with’ feature, no two stories are similar. The vastly different backgrounds of every person I speak to never fails to offer an exciting glimpse into their lives, and I have never found myself having to scratch around to find some kind of interesting detail as everybody’s story is worthy of being told. It is just up to the person I am sitting across from as to how much they would like to tell.

Today, I headed to Kerang to the home of a very softly spoken lady who, whi
